Women need friendship, understanding and emotional support to cope with the issues of being a woman in contemporary society. The Women's Ministry at Crossing provides opportunities for women to meet those needs in their lives by offering Bible studies and service opportunities as well as several ladies fellowship events throughout the year.

The purpose of Women's Ministry at Crossing is to nurture a community of women with the goal of glorifying Christ by:

• Building women up and encouraging them in their faith
• Offering opportunities for growth through service
• Actively seeking the truth in God's Word (Biblical truth is culturally relevant to women)
• Celebrating our unique position as daughters of the King (All women matter to God therefore they matter to us)

Women's Ministry has a vision for the women who they minister to:

• Reach: Matthew 28:19-29
  Women possess a wonderful capacity to build relationships. We believe we are all called to reach out to one another and to our communities with the love of Jesus Christ.
• Grow: 2 Peter 3:18
  Ministering to the spiritual needs of women is a primary focus of Women's Ministry. We believe women should strive to grow in their knowledge of who God really is. This occurs through Bible studies, teaching, and fellowship with other Christian women.
• Love: John 13:34-35
  We are a community of women who love God and are committed to encouraging and loving one another. We believe love is best lived out by practicing Jesus' teachings of compassion and to enlarge our hearts toward the poor and hurting.
• Mentor: Titus 2:1-3
  As women mature in Christ they are able to share their love for God and an understanding of themselves with other women. We believe that a sharing of our strengths and encouraging others is the best way to connect with the next generation of young women. It is important for women to help each other identify the needs they have and to see how God can help them meet those needs in their own lives.

Hi! I'm Mary McDole. I am a wife, a daughter, a mother-in-law, a mother of 3 grown children, former nurse, transplanted southern belle, cancer survivor, golfer, frustrated musician, avid reader, speaker, creative cook and hostess, fan of home and garden television, painter, furniture refinisher, Walmart shopper, child of the King of Kings and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ ... I think that might have it covered. I love the Lord and have been on a great adventure with Him for many years. My husband and I have been at Crossing since December of 2007, moving here from the Chicago area.

It is my great pleasure to be involved with Women's Ministry here at Crossing. I truly believe God has a wonderful plan for each and every woman. The theme verse for Women's Ministry at Crossing is out of Isaiah, "Arise , shine for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. I love this verse! We all have a light to shine and we shine best in fellowship with others. We all need to understand that the Lord really loves us and desires to shine His light down upon our lives. There are a lot of hurting women out there who just don't have a clue how much they are valued and loved. I used to be one of them. That is why I am so passionate about sharing the good news that God does love us so very much and we are created with a purpose and a plan. That is the goal of Women's Ministry at Crossing, to help women realize just that and then to grow into the women God intended us to be. Come check us out ... "come taste and see that the LORD is good"!!
